Morgan Motor Company introduced their first car with 4 wheels in 1936 and the car was named Morgan 4/4. The car used to be denoted as 4-4 initially. Two 4’s in name were used for 4 wheels and 4 cylinders. It was a 2-door roadster with 1122 cc Coventry Climax engine. Morgan 4/4 has many derivatives 4/4 2-seat, 4/4 4-seat, 4/4 drophead coupe, 4/4 Series II, Series III, Series, IV, Series V, 4/4 1600 and 4/4 1800 etc.
