Enzo Ferrari worked at Alfa Romeo through most of the 1920s before deciding to build his own racing and road cars. After years of modifying and building racing cars using Fiat and Alfa Romeo components, Ferrari set up shop in Maranello, Italy, and produced his own car in 1948. |

Lotus Elan

There are two distinct categories of Lotus Elan cars. The examples built between 1962 and 1975 are generally known as 60s Elans. Those built between 1989 and 1995 are known as 90s Elans. 60s Elans or first generation Elans were available in 2-door coupe and 2-door roadster styles with FR layout. Second generation Elan cars were 2-door roadsters with FF layout. Lotus 1558 cc Straight 4 engines were used in Lotus Elan.
