  Aston Martin was founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Martin raced specials at the Aston Hill Hillclimb near Aston Clinton, and the pair decided to make their own vehicles. The company name was derived from Aston Hill and Lionel Martin.

Aston Martin DB6 is a purely sports car. Aston Martin manufactured DB6 from 1965 through 1970. Better aerodynamics and improved specification are the main difference between Aston Martin DB6 and its predecessors. 3 SU carburetors made the unit 282 hp.

In 1969 Aston Martin introduced DB6 Mark 2. Wider tyres and flares on wheel arches were the main feature of this new addition.
